In the end, I got on a call with the GP Mate developers, and during the conversation it turned out they shipped it just so they could ship something for now, so I wouldn’t be left without a product. The dryer does have scales, and it does have firmware updates, but they don’t work yet — they’ll finish them in future updates. As for the dehumidifier, during their experiments they figured out it wasn’t effective, so they reworked the convection in the dryer, saying it’s basically not needed. And here’s the most interesting part: the dryer is supposed to have an end-of-filament sensor, a flow sensor, and a filament diameter sensor, but it doesn’t have one yet. They said they didn’t have time to finish it and will do it after New Year, then ask me to send the dryer back to them so they can finish all that — I’m waiting for a call.
For now, honestly, I’m disappointed: paying as much as for a printer and getting, so far, a heated box with a screen. But I’m not losing hope — maybe they really will finish everything. And if not, I’ll be more careful with projects like this in the future. You never know until you try. Even a stick fires once a year. So we’ll see what the end result is. For now, an iDryer for 10k is a more finished product than this thing for 45k. It’s more satisfying and takes up way less space too

По итогу созвонился я с разработчиками GP Mate, в ходе диалога выяснилось, что отправили они, лишь бы отправить пока, чтоб я не сидел без продукта. Весы в сушилки есть, обновления в сушилке есть, но пока не работают допилят в обновлениях. Что касаемо осушителя, в ходе экспериментов, выяснили они, что он не эффективен и они переделали конвекцию в сушилки, что он мол и не нужен. Дальше самое интересное, в сушилке должен стоять датчик окончания филамента, потока, диаметра прутка, но его пока не стоит. Озвучили, что не успели его допилить и сделают после нового года, попросят обратна им отослать сушилку, где все этот доделают, жду звонка.
Пока если честно разочарован, отдать денег как за принтер, а получить пока греющуюся коробку с экранам. Но надежду не теряю, вдруг и правда все допилят. Ну а если нет, то впредь буду по аккуратнее с подобными проектами, вообще не попробуешь не узнаешь. Раз в год и палка стреляет. Так что увидим, что на выходе. Пока Idryer за 10к, более законченный продукт, чем этот за 45к. Радует больше и места занимает в разы меньше
