What don’t you like about it? If you don’t turn the printer off, then there’s nothing to discuss, and if you do turn it off, then why connect the dryer to the printer)?
А чем не нравится? Если принтер не выключаешь, то и обсуждать нечего, а если выключаешь, то зачем сушилку к принтеру)?
The dryer runs for, say, 4 hours, then the print starts — why should the printer be running during that time, with the webcam streaming too. But the main thing for me is the lack of USB ports on the host, and through a USB hub it’s glitches, wires, and somehow it just doesn’t look clean 
Right now everything is running on this little box, a TV set-top box.
Or I could buy a proper Raspberry Pi for the printer and camera, and leave the TV box for the dryer. What I like about the TV box is that it has eMMC. With a Pi you have to buy that separately.
Сушилка сушит например 4 часа, потом печать, зачем принтеру в это время работать, веб камера поток гонит. Но главное для меня - нехватка портов usb на хосте, а через юсб хаб это глюки, провода, и как то нет красоты
Сейчас всё на этой железке, тв приставка.
Ну либо купить норм пишку для принтера и камеры, а сушилке тв приставка останется. Мне в приставка нравится наличие emmc. А к пишке ее докупать надо.

I did this, naturally, for myself and for my own use cases, and historically I’ve had two PSUs, one for the Pi and one for the printer, through SSR, so all of this was super justified on DIY builds and janky printers, but after switching to Qidi I somehow decided that a standalone setup with blackjack and hookers, (Wi‑Fi, RFID, scales, Portal) is probably more human-friendly), so here I am still tinkering)

Я это делал, естественно, для себя и под свои сценарии, а у меня исторически два БП, на пиху и на принтер, через ssr, т.е. это все было мега оправдано на самосборах и пердольных принтерах, но пересев на киди я как-то решил что стандалон с блекджеком и шлюхами, (вифи, рфид, весы, портал) наверное бшиже к человекам), вот и пердолю)
So the printer was being powered down through SSR when it wasn’t needed? Just mains power, or the MCU too?
Через ssr обесточивался принтер когда не нужен? Сила только или и mcu?
