Why does a dryer need temperatures up to 100°C if nylon is usually dried at around 75°C?

Guys, now I’m completely confused. If everything is really the way you’re saying, then nylon should be dried at around 75. Almost all dryers are designed for that temperature, more or less. But this whole chat is about a dryer that can crank up to 100, unlike the store-bought alternatives. So what’s the point of it then, other than the price and the ability to build it yourself?

Ребят, теперь я ничего не понимаю. Если все так, как вы говорите, то нейлон сушить надо при 75 где то. На такую температуру почти все сушилки рассчитаны. ± конечно. Но данный чат вообще посвящён сушилке, способной жарить до сотки, в отличие от покупных аналогов. В чем же тогда её смысл кроме цены и возможности собрать её самостоятельно?

You can dry at 90, you just need to be precise about the timing. I do 4 hours at 90, then switch to storage mode at 75.

Так при 90 сушить можно, просто надо четко время выбирать. У меня 4 часа на 90 потом в режим хранения при 75

It’s not all about nylon :wink: There are also more “advanced” materials.

At 75, you have to dry it for several days, and that’s only if you’re lucky. Anywhere from 2 to 10 days, depending on the initial moisture level. That’s why they make dryers that go up to 90–120.
