Setting up a Telegram bot on a printer without a stable VPN: MTProxy and network limits

So, I’ve got this question — I wanted to hook up a Telegram bot to my printer, but now do I also need to set up a VPN for it?

Does anyone have one? How’s it holding up these days, please tell me.

Commands go through even without a VPN — slowly, but they do. The ultimate solution is to set it up on the router (depending on what protocol your router supports).

Well, it is what it is. By the way, on mobile (Beeline, Moscow region… uh, not the near part) Telegram works without a VPN just like it does with one 🤷‍♂

Что поделать, такие реалии. Кстати, на мобиле (Билайн Подмосковье… Эээ, не ближнее) телега работает без впн так же как и с ним 🤷‍♂

So what’s the problem with setting up a proxy? Install the bot, plug in the proxy — profit.

I don’t know which specific bot, but through brute force, the settings seem to be stored here:

Так в чём проблема настроить прокси то? Поставить бота, заколотить порокси - Профит.

Thanks, I’ll figure it out. But the main problem is that I only have university Wi-Fi, and through it all this stuff already works pretty unstably even without any outside help, and in the current situation I’m afraid to imagine it.

Спасибо, буду разбираться. Но главная беда в том, что у меня вай фай только вузовский, а через него все это не очень стабильно работает и без внешней помощи, а в нынешней ситуации боюсь представить
