No, first you have to set it to zero yourself — it comes up in who-knows-what state, then you calibrate it by the angles, save that in the config, and you’re good once you assemble everything into one unit)

What do you mean, to zero? The servo is connected to the board. I power on the board. The servo goes to zero. I install the damper. Without moving the servo. Then assemble it.

Это как в ноль? Серва подключена к плате. Включаю плату. Серва становится в ноль. Устанавливаю заслонку. Не двигая серву. Собираю.
First you set its zero, check the position, adjust it to the parts so it stays closed, enter that angle position into the config, then do the same for the open position and put that in the config too. I had some spare 360-degree mg90s servos, so I’m using those, and mine doesn’t do that movement like in your video, otherwise they’ll burn out as hell.

Ты сперва задаешь ей ноль, смотришь на положение, по деталям подгоняешь, что б она была закрыта, позицию по углу вносишь в конфиг, потом при открытом положении и тоже в конфиг, у меня были mg90s 360 градусов лишние и их использую, и движения как на видео твоем нету, иначе сгорят нафиг
This servo doesn’t know where its zero is. It doesn’t have a single sensor. So when powered on, it has absolutely no clue what position it’s in. In the config, you’re the one who has to assign the angles where it will be open and closed. And that’s not 0° and 90° at all. In my case, for example, 122° is closed, and 67° is open.

Эта серва не знает, где у неё ноль. У её нет ни единого датчика. Поэтому при включении она в душе не чает, в каком она положении. В конфиге ты и должен ей назначить углы, при которых она будет открыта и закрыта. И это вообще не 0⁰ и 90⁰. У меня, например 122⁰ это закрыто, и 67⁰ открыто.

I probably confused everyone. That movement in the video shows that the damper opens the other way.
