There’s a catch: PVP should be diluted with ethyl alcohol, not isopropyl alcohol — it holds many times better.

Well, it just dissolves better (faster) in ethyl alcohol. Better yet — in water :slight_smile:

I used to dilute it with isopropyl, and if you wiped it with a wet rag afterward, the adhesion dropped to basically zero, but with ethyl — it seems to hold, though it still feels sketchy))

Well, makes sense: water dissolves it way faster than alcohol, so of course you’re wiping it off

Nah, after a few prints a pretty decent layer had built up there, and I tried removing the excess with a wet rag. The layer stayed on the glass, but the adhesion was already gone.

Не, там после нескольких печатей слой приличный накапливался и я пробовал мокрой тряпкой снимать излишки. На стекле слой оставался, но адгезии уже не было.
