Photopolymer in syringes: too thick, leaked inside, second attempt worked better

I once picked up some photo resin in syringes like this just to try it out

In practice it turned out to be really thick, and the color was pretty much “meh” too — for example, the red one

So I thinned it a bit and added some pigment for photo resins, a few drops…
Though I diluted it too much (well, so it would have time to spread evenly) and didn’t take into account that there’s still a bridge there, and no solid top layer… And, just my luck, I mixed them up and grabbed the “combat” cover (I mean the proper finished one, not the “underprinted” one)… But it came out interesting. Looks like it still would’ve been better to first go over it with the transparent thinned resin as a primer — that would’ve sealed it, and the pigmented one would’ve spread better too

Брал я тут как-то на пробу фотополимер в шприцах вот такой

На практике он оказался прям очень густым, так еще и цвет “никакой” оказался, вот например красный

И я его чуток разбавил и добавил пигмент доя фотополимеров, несколько капелек…
Правда развел жидковато (ну чтоб растекаться успевал равномерно) и не учел что там все-таки мост, и запечатки сплошной нет… Причем как назло перепутал и взял “боевую” крышку (ну в смысле полноценную, а не “недопечатку”)… Но получилось интересно. Видимо все же стоило сначала прозрачным разведенным пройтись как праймером, он и загерметизировал бы, и растекание пигментированного было бы лучше

You should also add a bloody handprint or drip some drops on it.

If anyone asks why it’s stained and has drops on it — just say: serves them right for sticking their fingers into the fan

Looks like at the speeds I was printing, the solid infill wasn’t heating up enough and there was under-extrusion. It’s just so rigid there that it’s not noticeable at all :slight_smile:

Видимо на тех скоростях что я печатал заполнение сплошное он недогревался и была недоэкструзия. Там просто жесткость такая, что это вообще не заметно :slight_smile:

The second attempt is already better. This time I first primed it with clear resin, and only then went over it with the colored one
