Some time ago I got enlightened on this question.
I also put a humidity and temperature sensor into the dryer. Started heating it. The temperature goes up, the humidity goes down. I’m happy.
Turned it off overnight after a couple hours of heating. In the morning I check: room temperature, and the humidity is exactly what it was yesterday before turning it on.
It shows relative humidity. Temperature goes up, relative humidity goes down. Even in a sealed container.

Выключил на ночь после пары часов грения. Утром смотрю, температура комнатная, влажность какая была вчера перед включением, такая и осталась.
Влажность показывает относительную. Температура растет, относительная влажность падает. Даже в герметичном сосуде.
That’s exactly how it is. Plus, the higher the temperature, the more the humidity sensor lies.
Так и есть. Плюс еще чем выше температура, тем больше врет датчик влажности

But drying is also about raising the temperature to lower the relative humidity, that is, increasing the air’s moisture capacity.
