How to mount a vent flap on a servo and set the servo to zero

So, here’s a question — how do you mount the vent flap onto the servo?
I had 2 vent flaps,
Tried heating up a “test” one a bit and pressing it on — nothing worked.

I guess… I’ll drip some DCM into the socket now, let it soften up a bit, press it properly onto the splines, and leave it to dry.

А вот вопрос- как насадить форточку на сервопривод?
У меня ж 2 форточки было,
Попробовал “пробную” нагреть немного и насадить,- ничегт не вышло

Наверное, … накапаю щас ДХМ в лунку, оно подраскиснет, насажу как следует на шлицы, и оставлю сохнуть.

Yeah, so from the factory it might be sitting in a random position relative to the position sensor?
On first power-up it’ll home itself, and then it’ll know where home is. Right?

Mounted! It’ll dry for about an hour, then I can start the heater test and run PID tuning :slight_smile:
With DCM it worked great (and the layers fused together a bit too :nerd_face:), in theory it should work on nylon splines too, it won’t dissolve them

Насажено!, часок посохнет и можно будет включать тест грелки и пид прогнать :slight_smile:
На ДХМ - отлично получилось(заодно слои подмонолитились :nerd_face:), на нейлоновые шлицы поидее тоже должно сработать, его не растворит

That wouldn’t work with polypropylene, right?) It’s supposedly resistant to DCM.
