Well, the snap ring can be removed with a thin screwdriver. And someone in the group already replaced the bearings, they come off easily.

Ну стопорное кольцо отверкой тонкой снимается. А подшипники кто то в группе уже менял, они легко снимаются
Basically, the oil just leaked out of the bushing from the heat, naturally, it started eating into the metal, and then it seized.

Yeah, that makes sense. Although it should work fine even without oil — bronze slides well on steel. But from the heat, I guess the clearances changed. That’s why it works better with bearings, they have larger clearances to begin with.
Is there any wear on the impeller shaft?

Это понятно. Хотя оно и без масла должно норм работать, бронза по стали хорошо скользит. Но от температуры видимо зазоры ушли. С подшипниками поэтому и лучше работает, там изначально большие зазоры
А выроботка на валу крыльчатки есть?

Well, I’ll carefully file it down a bit now and grease it with some grease rated up to 160 degrees that has worked well for me. It’ll probably last for a while, but it’ll need replacing.
