I tried mating this socket and plug without wires. When I disconnected them, the pins from the plug stayed in the socket — the contact between the metal parts is that tight. Won’t the two M3 screws get ripped out of the housing if it’s mounted from the outside and someone tries to pull the cord out? I don’t think the appearance (socket outside/inside) would suffer in either case.

Я тут попробовал без проводов эту розетку с вилкой состыковать. Так при рассоединении пины от вилки остались в розетке, настолько там контакт плотный между железками. Не будут ли 2 винтика М3 вырываться из корпуса при закреплении снаружи и попытке вытащить провод? Внешний вид (розетка снаружи/внутри), что в одном, что в другом случае, не думаю, что пострадает

You need to match the cord and the socket.
I’ve run into different “gauges”. A cord from the комплект of some linear LED light fixture and a cord from a laptop power supply, I think, or something like that. They look the same, but swapping them around is problematic. One goes into the other with difficulty; the other way around, it wobbles.

Нужно подбирать пару шнур - розетка.
Сталкивался с разными “калибрами”. Шнур из комплекта какого-то линейного светодиодного светильника и шнур от блока питания ноута чтоли, или что-то подобное. На вид одинаковые, а местами поменять проблемно. Один в другое лезет с трудом, наоборот - болтается.
Wouldn’t it be easier to use a different socket?
There are tons of cords for those, it looks more solid, and it handles 10A.
