Not all cardboard is the same. Like, HTP used corrugated cardboard, and those aren’t really great on roller spool holders anymore.

I mean the kind of cardboard Eryone uses, for example. Their spools are sturdy. I dried nylon at 110, and only one of the two stickers came off — otherwise the spool didn’t care at all.

They throw off cardboard dust if they spin. And it builds up over time.

well, it just slowly builds up in the device where the spool sits. the Bamboo AMS gets pretty gunked up by it, for example

Yeah, but if that dust is falling into the heater, that’s probably not great. But there is some truth to the idea that not all cardboard is the same. Eryone’s cardboard is either laminated or waxed or something, anyway it doesn’t really shed much. But eSUN’s sheds pretty nicely for me, though it’s easy to transplant onto a reusable spool.

Эт да, но если эта пыль в нагреватель сыпется, наверное не очень хорошо. Но в том что картон картону рознь, тут доля правды есть. У еривана картон то ли ламинированный, то ли вощеный, в общем с него особо не сыпется. А вот с есана у меня славно сыпется, но он легко имплантируется на разборную катуху
