I just added slow bed cooling to the end g-code. Useful when you’re printing on the balcony and it’s already pretty chilly around the printer

If it’s on the balcony, then you really need to make an active enclosure for the printer. And if you’re printing ABS, then with carbon too — there’ll be less smell, and you can print faster so layer adhesion doesn’t suffer. Otherwise with these enclosures, over 15–20 hours the smell builds up noticeably even with the window slightly open and decent ventilation in the apartment. The printer was just sitting there during the day after printing, resting, and the smell still didn’t air out
Если балконе, уж активную камеру для принтера надо делать. А если АБС печатать, то и с углём - и запаха меньше будет и печатать можно быстрее, чтоб межслойка не страдала. А то с этими корпусами за 15-20 часов ощутимо запах накапливается даже с приоткрытым окном и нормальной вентиляцией в квартире. Принтер днём стоял после печати, отдыхал, так запах не выветрился

I don’t heat it above 70. All the electronics are moved outside and well ventilated) I haven’t noticed any condensation. But I don’t let it drop below 10 degrees either, even in winter on the balcony.
Я больше 70 не грею. Электроника вся, вынесена и хорошо проветривается) конденсата не замечал. Но и ниже 10 градусов я, даже зимой на балконе не допускаю.

It is insulated. Down to -5, it stays at 15 degrees without heating just fine. Below that, ceiling-mounted infrared heaters and a thermostat set to 10 degrees kick in.
Утепленный и есть. До -5 на нем вполне норм держиться 15 градусов без обогрева. Дальше потолочные инфракрасные обогреватели и термостат на 10 градусов

I cut off the metal parapet and built a new one out of 100 mm foam blocks, plus 100 mm of PIR). Plastic windows, double-glazed, 2 chambers.

Yeah. I foamed all the gaps. If I keep the windows to the apartment open, I don’t even need heating, but then the family complains about the smell and noise) I originally wanted the balcony as a workshop, but I didn’t think I’d end up with so many printers)))
Проверял. Щели запенил. Если окна в квартиру держать открытыми то и топить не надо, но тогда родные жалуются на запах и шум) а так я изначално балкон под мастерскую хотел, но не думал что столько принтеров будет)))

I say balcony because not everyone knows what a loggia is) in my case I only really had to insulate the parapet. The side walls are shared with the apartment.
Если что я балкон говорю, так как не все знают что такое лоджия) у меня так то только парапет и надо было утеплить. Боковые стены с квартирой граничат.

Yeah, I’d even be fine with a smaller one, just not this narrow… Can’t fit a damn thing. Only the ends are really usable.
