Whoa, the difference is a couple of millimeters? That seems like a lot. With ABS I usually use 100.4–100.6 percent scaling on average

And at 130 mm, that’s only about 0.6 mm

Well, I printed something with HIPS. Then that same part with it too. For another one I used ABS, and I was too lazy to switch back. And then I saw this.
But it’s a non-critical functional part.

Ну я что-то хипсом печтатал. Потом им же эту деталь. Для другого брал АБС, а обратно лень было менять. И вот такое увидел.

And here I am getting upset when I print decorative stuff for people and the dimensions are off by 0.5 mm or less :grin: But it’s kind of weird, because both HIPS and ABS are usually said everywhere to have shrinkage around 0.5%. I’ve only seen crazy numbers like 5–10% with photopolymer resins.

А я-то расстраиваюсь, когда людям художку печатаю и размеры уходят на 0,5 мм и меньше :grin: Но как-то странно, что хипс, что абс усадка заявляется везде в районе 0,5%. Только на смолах в фотополимерке видел безумные цифры типа 5-10%
