ABS GF10 and other materials for printing the enclosure: color and heat resistance

I printed FD ABS, don’t remember what composite they had, but it was the only one they made — that’s the black enclosure in the photos. Then I switched to FusRock ABS GF10 (all the newer photos, including the white ones), absolutely excellent material both in printing and in appearance, and it prints great at 270.

Я печтал АБС ФД, не пмню что у них за композит, но он был единственный, это черный корпус на фотках. А потом перешел на фусрок ABS GF10(все новые фотки и белые в том числе), великолепный материал и по печати и по внешнему виду и на 270 печется отлично

Thanks, I’ll look into it. Right now FD only has this one among the non-artsy ones

For the same money you can get FusRock on the classifieds, in my opinion it’s neither worse nor better, but there’s a choice of colors, and FD doesn’t have that.

За эти же деньги на барахолках можно фусрок взять, он не хуже и не лучше на мой взгляд, но выбор цветов есть, а у ФД нет

Filamentarno ABS/PBT/GF — now that’s good stuff for the unit. And most importantly, it’s colored black.

FusRock is also nice and consistent, the main thing is not to push it too hard. But I haven’t tested its heat resistance.

фусрок тоже приятный и стабильный, главное не разгоняться. Но его термостойкость не проверял

Well, there you go, now you’ve made me want to print a colored version out of FusRock using 2 spools and slap a standalone in there.

Although maybe Ateco will release their colored PP and PC soon — I want to try those too.

No. I was asking about colored PC. Apparently it’s just not turning out very well.
