How to mount the heating element properly: bushings, offset, and clearance from the wall

One more thing about the housing: I don’t really understand the way the heating element is mounted. It would be great if it were supported from below by two screw heads, and the screw head on top would lock into the hole. That would be super reliable. On one hand it kind of is like that, but on the other hand the whole thing somehow only catches at the edge and doesn’t go into the hole. No idea why, probably there was a reason.

Ещё по корпусу мне непонятно решение крепления нагревательного элемента. Было бы круто если бы он снизу подпирался двумя шляпками винтов, а шляпка сверху фиксировала бы отверстие. И прям было бы супернадежно. С одной стороны вроде так и есть, но с другой стороны как-то это все с краюшку цепляется и не входит в отверстие. Почему так хз, наверно была причина

If you remove the brass inserts from the heater holes, then it clamps like that, between the slightly unscrewed screws. Might be worth mentioning this in the assembly documentation.

Латунные втулки если убрать из отверстий нагревателя - так и зажимается, между чуть выкрученными винтами. Возможно, этот момент стоит прописать в документацию по сборке.

I saw in the assembly video that the insert was removed only on one side.

Yeah, that’s a thing there — the right insert is removed) I ended up removing both: first the left one — assembled it, checked it, and then the right one too.

Ага, есть такой момент - там правая втулка убрана) Я в итоге обе убрал, сначала левую - собрал, посмотрел, а потом и правую.

So how is it supposed to be? In the model it touches, in the video it touches?

Break out the inserts, and then the screws in the lid will sit in the holes on the heater? I could be wrong, but it looks like the spacing between the holes on the heater doesn’t match the spacing between the screws on the lid. I’ll measure it today.

Так как надо? На модели касается, на видео касается?

Выломать втулки и тогда винты в крышке сядут в отверстия на грелке? Я могу ошибаться, но там расстояние между отверстиями грелки не совпадает с расстоянием между винтами на крышке. Сегодня померяю

  • Remove the inserts;
  • Shift the heater to the right so it doesn’t touch the left wall (I also put a little piece of PTFE tube under it here, about half a piece, just to make sure there was definitely no contact);
  • The screws sit on the heater tabs, but not in the holes.

  • Убираешь втулки;
  • Сдвигаешь нагреватель вправо, чтоб не касался левой стенки (я тут ещё кусочек фторопластовой трубки подкладывал, где-то половинку, чтоб точно касания не было);
  • Винты садятся на уши нагревателя, но не в отверстия.

The spacer is good advice — I also thought it wouldn’t hurt to put something in there.

The inserts do need to be removed, but the top screw is not meant for those holes — those holes might not even be present on the heater.

Втулки убрать нужно, но винт сверху не под эти отверстия, этих отверстий может и не быть на грелке.
